Indian summer

Last weekend I drove the minivan to Ohio for Lynn. Her old favorite, Stinky, is finally on its last legs so she needed a new one.

I got to visit my cousin, Monica, and her husband, Dave. He has leukemia and has spent months going through aggressive therapy. This week he gets tested to see the results. Hopefully they will look good and he can go back to work next week.

I got to meet my friend Jerry’s foreign exchange student, Andreas. He is from Norway. When the school year was about to begin the kid still had not been placed in a home so they took him in at the last minute.

Scott and I went to a corn maze in Plain City. It took 90 minutes and was a lot of fun. We also stopped at the Italian festival where eventually I found food without cheese.

I took the Megabus back to Pittsburgh. It was ok. It was a snug fit and I’m average height and skinny. The bus was clean, the people were quiet and it was on time. My ticket was $20.50.

The weather was incredible all weekend, just like the weekend before in Kansas City. It is cool and dreary today. I am sad to see the nice weather end.
